Advanced Composition and Performance
For over a decade, Topology has been working each year with senior music students for a curriculum-aligned program of composition workshops with performance outcomes of original music for final IA3 assessments.
Delivered throughout the school year during class time, the workshop program provides students with direct mentorship from Topology’s highly skilled composers who bring expertise across a wide range of musical genres.
Whether students compose using notation software, handwritten scores or lead sheets, Topology works collaboratively with each young composer and the class to deliver a live public performance. These events showcase the students’ original compositions to their peers, friends, family and wider community.
