Public showcase will be TOPS, when the kids of Longreach return to perform their own music after a 12-month delay.

Funded by the Australian Government through the Building Better Regions Fund, the Creative Showcase with Topology performance is an extension of Topology’s Creative Boot Camp which was held in September 2019. After having to be postponed last year due to COVID-19, this Showcase performance is set to go ahead on Saturday 20 March 2021 at the Longreach Arts and Crafts Centre.

This Creative Showcase with Topology is a combination of film and live performance featuring emerging, young artists from Central Western Queensland. Performing alongside expert musicians John Babbage (Saxophone), Grant Collins (Drums), and Mark Connors (Piano), these local artists will present world premiere performances of original music they have written over the last year with composer John Babbage, as part of Topology’s Top Up program.

“It is always a great pleasure to come back to Longreach, to work with these young musicians that show a genuine passion for music!” - John Babbage, Co-Artistic Director and Mentor.
