Topology’s Music Workshops head to the Scenic Rim

2 February 2021

Topology’s set to bring creative relief and positive impact to three Scenic Rim schools.

Students from Canungra State School, Tamborine Mountain College, and Beaudesert State High School will be composers for a day next week, creating new pieces of music with our very own John Babbage as part of Topology’s award winning Top Up Education Program (now known as the Topology Creative Academy).

These music composition workshops with John are also part of the Growing Creative Communities program delivered by Topology throughout regional Queensland. The new music written by the students will be arranged for Topology to perform live at a performance of We Will Rise on 26 March 2021 at the Boonah Cultural Centre.

"These are the first workshops John has done with these students in the Scenic Rim. We are really looking forward to seeing what amazing music the kids can create," says Christa Powell, Creative Director.
